Reflections !



Reflections tells who we are. In everyday life we manipulate things around us to suit our needs and interests. For different people, different 'person' we become ! 

However given solitude, we are in our most natural self. We can't hide our thoughts. We know what is right and what is not. We know who we are. 

This is enlightenment. One who experience the true self of himself in reflections is Buddha.


In Focus: Reflection of a middle aged man on mirror of a bike. He is noticing something, probably me, focusing camera on mirror of the bike. Apparently not happy with this, his reaction is dramatic, pushing his chin up making his upper lip touch his nose !

God's Gate Keeper

   In Frame : Rani. Do we need to say who she is ? Rani is the elephant at Manarkul Vinayagar Temple at Pondicherry (Pondy) whom one can see the entrance of the temple. She has been trained to shower blessings on devotees who offer her money and eatables especially banana. On festivals she is beautifully decorated with colorful usually red and golden yellow robes and cloth sheets and carries the idols of Lord Ganesha along with the religious processions which passes through prominent streets of Pondy notable among them is JN Sreat and MG Road. Clicked in Aug 2008 at Manarkul Temple, Pondy during my first visit to the temple.

Chatwala

In Frame : A hawker selling snacks. Chatwala in local language. About The Picture: It is a bus stand and people are waiting for their bus to come and go home. A hawker has parked his cart and is selling snacks. This is a common site in most of cities, you can find several small vendors selling different things in and around bus stops.  Hulimau, Near Rama temple, Bangalore, INDIA. 22 /June/2014.
