Prisoner of Human Taste

Life (Limited) Taste is compelling reason for humans to do things which they would otherwise would have not indulged in. People often develop taste for things and then comes a point where it becomes part of their lifestyle. And often, taste which people develop becomes a reason for hardship and cruel sufferings for others - humans and as well as other living beings.  In Frame : A blind chicken in a cage. It is the only one left in this cage and his folk must be resting on dinner plates. It is a very common scene across country - you can notice cages stacked with chickens waiting to be slaughtered, to be 'part' of delicious and mouth watering dishes made out of dead bodies of chicken. Often they die in cage itself due to suffocation. Shot at near Jayadeva Hospital Flyover on road leading towards to Raagiguda Temple on 18 / Jan /2014.

Reflections !

Reflections tells who we are. In everyday life we manipulate things around us to suit our needs and interests. For different people, different 'person' we become !  However given solitude, we are in our most natural self. We can't hide our thoughts. We know what is right and what is not. We know who we are.  This is enlightenment. One who experience the true self of himself in reflections is Buddha. In Focus:  Reflection of a middle aged man on mirror of a bike. He is noticing something, probably me, focusing camera on mirror of the bike. Apparently not happy with this, his reaction is dramatic, pushing his chin up making his upper lip touch his nose ! Shot at  Sri Dharmanatha Shwetambar Jain Temple, 4th Block Jayanagar, Bangalore, INDIA on 11/Jan/2014 as part of the photowalk.  And here is a song for the model in frame above ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GilyHzqo1rU

Ruminations

In Frame:  A vendor at BDA Market, Jayanagar 4 Block. In front of him was a lady pestering him to sell at low price and complaining that he has increased the price within a week. Ignoring her completely, this man went silent after uttering the price few times - a clear indication that he won't lower the price !
