In Frame: Rani. Do we need to say who she is ?

Rani is the elephant at Manarkul Vinayagar Temple at Pondicherry (Pondy) whom one can see the entrance of the temple. She has been trained to shower blessings on devotees who offer her money and eatables especially banana.

On festivals she is beautifully decorated with colorful usually red and golden yellow robes and cloth sheets and carries the idols of Lord Ganesha along with the religious processions which passes through prominent streets of Pondy notable among them is JN Sreat and MG Road.

Clicked in Aug 2008 at Manarkul Temple, Pondy during my first visit to the temple.

In Search of Another Moon !

In Frame:  Half moon and a plane passing by. About The Picture :  Both, half moon and the plane seems to be ignoring each other.The half moon too high on blue sky as if saying to the plane, " I am not for you". Plane moving ahead of this beautiful half moon in search of another moon on another sky ! Clicked from S5 while I was waiting for the cab to pick me up for office. 15 /Aug /2014.
